Motion for substituted service

Substituted service refers to alternative methods of serving legal documents when the primary method of personal service cannot be completed. This approach is used to ensure that the defendant receives the notice of the claim despite challenges in achieving direct delivery.

The plaintiff must demonstrate to the court that reasonable attempts at personal service were made and that the substituted method will likely bring the documents to the defendant's attention. The court will then decide if the substituted service is appropriate for the case.
